That’s a wrap, and what a special one. TYPO3Camp Vienna 2026 marked 10 years of TYPO3Camp Vienna, and for 2.5 days the University of Vienna once again became the meeting point for the TYPO3 community from all across Europe. Around 90 developers, editors, agency owners and marketers came together to share, learn and reconnect.
The university’s generous location sponsoring once again gave the camp one of the most beautiful venues in the whole city, and the relaxed early-summer atmosphere did the rest.
90 participants
8 countries across Europe
28 community driven sessions in parallel tracks
3 official TYPO3 certifications passed live at the camp
2.5 days of sessions, conversations and networking
One of the nicest moments at the opening was the live Mentimeter map titled “Where do you come from?”, lighting up across Europe as people travelled in from around eight different countries to spend the weekend together. It was a clear reminder of just how international and connected the TYPO3 ecosystem really is.
As always, the participants built the program on the spot, and the session boards filled up fast. AI was the dominant theme of the weekend: AI Coding, AI Proxy & AI Extensions for TYPO3, Vibecoding without bloodshed, The End of Search as we know it, Pagible CMS and the only-half-joking When will AI kill our jobs?
Right next to it ran the solid TYPO3 engineering track: TYPO3 v14 LTS, Deployment Processes, Infrastructure as Code, Fluid & Vite, JavaScript in the Backend and Building extensions from scratch for beginners. There was also a strong strand on the business of agencies and people: Agency Patterns, Quo vadis: agency business, Human centered design and User Journeys. And because it’s a barcamp, there was room for fun too, from PowerPoint Karaoke to Speed Dating. Many of the best conversations, of course, happened in the breaks, over coffee and somewhere between two sessions.
TYPO3Camp Vienna has never been only about code. It kicked off on Friday with the Vienna beer tour and the Warm Up Party at "Der Blunzenstricker", the perfect relaxed start to ease into the weekend. On Saturday evening the crowd met for the traditional dinner at "Wieden Bräu", one of Vienna’s best small breweries, where talk about TYPO3 happily turned into long, personal conversations over a cold beer.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who made this anniversary edition possible: participants, speakers, the supseven-team and our sponsors, with special thanks to platinum sponsor plan2net, our gold and silver sponsors, and the University of Vienna as location sponsor.
This community isn’t really only about software. It’s about people, openness and the willingness to "Inspire people to share". Or, as many participants told us as they left Vienna: “I’m glad I came here.”
Help us putting up a great event again and get visibility, reach and media exposure in exchange.
We are excited to return to the University of Vienna as our venue. The university’s generous location sponsoring makes this possible, and it is truly one of the most beautiful event venues in all of Vienna.
