Let’s be honest: Who stays loyal to a CMS for 25 years?
We do. And we’d do it all over again. While half the web world chases after the next shiny framework every three years, we’ve chosen TYPO3—a system that demands perseverance and rewards it. At #clicksgefuehle, we’re now looking back on a quarter-century with this CMS. Over 600 projects. From small relaunches to enterprise architecture.
And yes: This is just the beginning.
25 years is almost an eternity in the digital world. From static table layouts to AI- powered enterprise systems—we’ve been there for it all. But one thing has never changed: The quality of a website isn’t measured by parallax effects and fancy animations. It’s measured by whether users can find their way around immediately. Whether the system runs smoothly in the background. Whether technology and people work together.
That is exactly what a #clicksgefuehle is: that almost unconscious feeling of trust and ease when a system simply works. No matter how massive the data load behind it is.
A prime example of this is our work for IMC Krems. It earned us the TYPO3 Award 2025 in the Higher Education category.
University websites? Often monstrous structures made up of thousands of subpages, course databases, and internal interfaces. The challenge: An 18-year-old prospective student needs to find what she’s looking for in three seconds. At the same time, academic staff need a backend that doesn’t get in the way. We set up TYPO3 here as a central content hub—with clean data separation, high-performance search, and an architecture that can scale with the institution.
The result: When the technology works so seamlessly that users don’t even notice how complex the system behind it is—then digitalization becomes a liberation rather than a hurdle.
A topic that is sure to come up at TYPO3Camp Vienna: accessibility. For a long time, inclusion on the web was treated like a bothersome add-on—something you do if there’s budget left over at the end.
Anyone who has worked in the industry for 25 years knows: A website that isn’t accessible to everyone simply isn’t finished. For us, accessibility according to WCAG standards has long been a hallmark of quality. A semantically correct HTML structure not only helps screen readers—it’s also a real boost for SEO.
This responsibility is particularly evident at Austrian Cancer Aid. When people in difficult life situations seek support online, technology must not stand in the way. Here, we’ve set up a multi-tenant system that reflects the association’s federal structure: the regional state associations retain their editorial freedom. The umbrella organization retains control over the brand and security. TYPO3 maps out these nuanced rights and workflow logic—without the headaches.
But let’s be honest: the best projects don’t emerge in a quiet back room. They emerge through exchange. In conversations with developers solving similar problems. In sessions that broaden horizons. And sometimes over a beer afterward.
That’s exactly why we’re heading to TYPO3Camp Vienna. Not just to show what we can do. But to listen, learn, and take away ideas that will make our next 600 projects even better.
We bring 25 years of experience to the table. A passion for clean code. And a genuine curiosity about everything that’s to come.
